What you get
The signature pose
A face-forward head-and-shoulders portrait, eyes straight to the viewer, on clean white paper. It suits face-forward close-ups. Every style has one signature pose, and your pet keeps their own face, coat and markings.
Photos that work best
A sharp, evenly lit face photo with both eyes open and straight to the camera. Detail in the fur matters more here than in any other style. Three to five sharp photos at your pet's eye level, without filters, give us the most to work with.
Frames that suit it
A fine-art print on Hot Press paper in the Classic white or black frame with a wide white mat looks like a museum print room. Every print comes as a 4:5 rectangle, in portrait or landscape, or as a square.
Questions about the Engraved style
Is it hand-engraved?
No. It is rendered in the visual language of engraving: stipple and hatching, no gray tones. That is how we can show you a preview in seconds.
Does it work for black or very dark pets?
Yes, though very dark coats come out denser. A photo in good light helps keep detail in the face.
How does the free preview work?
Upload your photos and we render two watermarked previews free. After that, extra previews are $5 each and the full amount is credited toward your order.
What if it doesn't look like my pet?
Re-roll the preview before you buy. If a print arrives and you are not happy, tell us within 30 days and we will redo or refund it.
